Shop for a Cause Day – produced by Portland Downtown – is a shopping event designed to raise funds and awareness for local nonprofit organizations while – at the same time – showcasing our vibrant small business community. The event is held twice a year: the Saturday after the Tree Lighting in November and the Saturday of Summer Kickoff Weekend in June.
We are now accepting nominees to be the beneficiary of our next Holiday Shop for a Cause Day – to be held Saturday, November 24, 2018. Nominations will be open from September 12th through September 19th, and our downtown merchants will select the winner in early October.
To be eligible as a nominee, the organization must:
- Be a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
- Provide programs, services, or events that have a positive impact on the Portland community.
Beneficiaries from the past 5 years are not eligible.
