Each year, Portland Downtown, along with area sponsors, proudly hosts the City of Portland Police Department Annual Awards Ceremony. This heartfelt event honors award recipients and their families with a special breakfast, an inspiring awards ceremony, and a heartwarming raffle featuring prizes donated by local businesses. It’s a deeply moving occasion that celebrates the dedication and bravery of our police force.

Civilian of the Year: Suna Shaw

Suna Shaw, our Civilian of the Year, has been instrumental in supporting victims and their families, especially in the aftermath of the Lewiston shooting. Detectives Hagerty and Townsend were honored for their relentless efforts in solving violent crimes and cold cases. Officer Morgan MacLean received the prestigious Wallace Award for his exceptional commitment to training new officers, ensuring the future of Portland’s police force is in capable hands.
