Portland Downtown is joining forces with FEMA and the Emergency Management Office of the City of Portland and Cumberland County to encourage as many individuals as possible to sign up for CodeRED.

CodeRED is the emergency alert system used by County and City officials in the event of emergencies. Examples of why CodeRED may be used include:

As part of Portland’s “Prepareathon” this summer, we are encouraging all who live, work, or play in Cumberland County to register with the system. County officials will be sending a test alert the week of August 7.
