After a pandemic hiatus, Vivid Motion Dance -Portland’s innovative and kinda quirky dance company- will once again welcome audience members to see its spring production in the St. Lawrence Arts Center. Flowers & Ashes: A Modern Greek Romance performances begin Friday, May 5th. Tickets are available at vividmotion.org.
Exploring the themes of love, dedication, and fate, Flowers & Ashes: A Modern Greek Romance is a reimagining of the stories of Persephone and Hades, Eros and Psyche, and Orpheus and Eurydice. Featuring ballet, lyrical, disco, and contemporary dance, this is the Greek Myths done VivMo style.
Flowers & Ashes: A Modern Greek Romance features Jessica Jane Means and Venus Murphy as Aphrodite, Alison Odlin and April Kurtz as Persephone, Brigitte Paulus as Eurydice, Trevor Bean as Orpheus, Caelistus Paulus as Eros, Maren Root as Psyche, and Matt Begin as Hades.
Vivid Motion is proud to be a fully vaccinated company and is requiring all patrons to present proof of vaccination and photo ID prior to entering the theater. We are not accepting negative test results as a replacement for being vaccinated.
