Tips for aging well in Maine: What the research tells us
Len Kaye, professor of social work and director of the University of Maine’s Center on Aging, will share data-driven tips for living and aging well in the Pine Tree State. “Tips for aging well in Maine: What the research tells us” is designed for curious minds of all education levels and learners do not need to be enrolled in a University of Maine System program to attend.
The course is the first in a series of interactive events, called Leveraging the Flagship, that bring experts from across the University of Maine System to UMaine’s Portland Gateway on Fore Street. The $25, two-hour crash courses cover topics ranging from aquaculture to advanced materials needed to advance hydrogen energy.
Event and registration information is available online. For more information, or to request accommodation, email gateway@maine.edu.
About the Portland Gateway: UMaine established the Portland Gateway in 2021 to connect Mainers with world-class research and education; convene and prepare our knowledge and innovation workforce; and converge around contemporary Maine challenges in the Portland area and beyond.
