Running With Scissors Artists’ Studios & Community opens to the public for its annual Holiday Market & Open Studios, December 10 – 12th! Shop locally made art and fine crafts by 35+ RWS artists and tour their studios, tables and booths in the 16,000 sq. ft. makerspace at 250 Anderson Street in Portland.
This event has been a holiday staple for many years and, after a Covid hiatus, is thrilled to be back featuring new and existing members. Longtime artist participant Hannah Tarkinson will be unveiling limited edition, small-run, one-of-a-kind leather fanny packs. RWS clay tech and ceramicist Emily Armstrong, aka Armstrong Pottery, will show a new blue motif in stoneware. New member and intaglio printmaker Jane Petschek is bringing in limited edition Giclee prints of her watercolors for sale alongside her editioned etchings. Additional works for sale include jewelry, ceramics, paintings, prints, textiles, photographs, home keepsakes and more. Participating artists will differ slightly each day, so make a festive weekend of searching for those perfect holiday gifts!
This event is handicap accessible and family friendly. Wear your mask and get ready to discover Portland’s local talent.
Friday, December 10th from 4 – 7pm
