Portland Public Library has launched an ambitious project to gain a better understanding of what residents want their public library to be now and in the future.

As part of the project, we’re hosting community meetings to give voice to anyone who wishes to participate in the strategic planning process. During these meetings, consultants from the Ivy Group will facilitate interactive exercises that will help us understand how residents are using the library now and what needs improvement.

Participation can be anonymous and will be used by the library to evaluate offerings including services, programs, communications, and business practices that will better address community-wide needs. The meeting will last approximately and hour, and drop-ins are welcome!
