Gastor Almonte is an award-winning stand up comedian, storyteller, writer, and host. He’s appeared on COMEDY CENTRAL’s This Is Not Happening, VICE and PBS. TIMEOUT magazine named him one of your “New Comedy Obsessions.” He’s a 2020 Webby award winner for his appearance on WORLD CHANNEL’s Stories from the Stage. His debut album, Immigrant Made, debuted at #1 on iTUNES, Amazon and Google Play’s comedy charts. His independently produced special, Immigrant Made, can be streamed on AMAZON PRIME.
After making his Maine debut last year at Marcus Cardona and Thompson’s Point’s Cabin Fever with the the fasted sold out show and The Portland Comedy Co-Op’s Laugh Shack at Lincoln’s. Gastor Almonte returns with a special hour titled The Sugar written and directed by Gastor himself.
After a near-fatal hospital stay that ended with a Diabetes diagnosis, Gastor returns home to the shocking discovery that this is a prevalent issue in his community.
