Enjoy a FREE screening of John Ford’s “The Quiet Man” during Maine Irish Heritage Center’s John and Francis Ford Film Festival weekend. The film will be shown in Monument Square with beverages available onsite.

“The Quiet Man” is an early rom-com about a retired American boxer who returns to the village of his birth in 1920s Ireland, where he falls for a spirited redhead whose brother isn’t happy about their union. The film won two Oscars, John Ford’s record fourth Best Director award as well as one for Best Cinematography.
