Running With Scissors Art Studios is pleased to announce its first major group exhibition, “Cross-Section: Two Decades at RWS Art Studios,” to be held at Cove Street Arts in Portland, Maine, from November 9, 2023, to January 6, 2024 with an opening reception on November 16th from 5 – 7p.m.

“Cross-Section” pays tribute to the artists who have called Running With Scissors Art Studios their creative home over the past twenty years. The exhibition will feature an eclectic body of work representing the vast community of artists who have contributed to the ever-evolving artistic landscape of the studio. Kate Anker, the Owner and Director of Running With Scissors Art Studios, shared her enthusiasm: “We look forward to sharing some of the diverse work created at RWS, represented by the selected artists. This exhibition reflects our commitment to providing access to a nurturing and collaborative creative space. Serving hundreds of artists over 20 years, there are many others who have been integral parts of our story and create important work, we wish we could share them all.”
