Learn about the latest advancements in the Maine sustainable aquaculture and fisheries sector with leaders from The University of Maine- Maine’s Flagship research university.

Located on Taunton Bay in Franklin, Maine, the Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research has extensive facilities including marine hatcheries, where juvenile fish, invertebrates, and sea vegetables are propagated for research and industry. Through the Maine Sea Grant and Cooperative Extension, communities gain the capacity to make informed decisions on the management of coastal and marine resources that promote ecological and economic sustainability.
