The Running With Scissors Art Studios Steamy Summer Print Jam and Block Party is happening in the East Bayside neighborhood of Portland, Maine on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10am – 5pm! Watch Running With Scissors (RWS) print oversized blocks measuring 4×4′ – 4×8′ carved by local printmakers and print groups using a three-ton asphalt roller. Participating local printmakers include Lucy Ericson and Nate Beasley; Jamie Wing of Winged Prints; Jordan Kendall Parks; Anna O’Sullivan and Kristy Cavaretta; Flynn Costello; Jenny Ibsen and Ana Inciardi; members of the Peregrine Press printmakers collaborative; as well as RWS member Jonathan Bishop, RWS Print Shop Manager Carter Shappy, and members of the RWS community.

We will be joined by DJ Mo Nunez, Meet on the Street food truck, and will feature a special collaborative release from Belleflower and Goodfire, and a paint your own pottery activity lead by RWS member Emily Armstrong of Armstrong Pottery. We will have mugs made by RWS clay members for sale and art for sale made by participating printmakers. Festivities take place in the RWS parking lot at 250 Anderson Street in Portland, Maine. Parking is available on Anderson Street, Marginal Way, and the nearby commuter lot. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
