All of the businesses near the construction project at the intersections of Free, Congress & High streets need your support. In an effort to help ring the cash registers, Portland Downtown is coordinating a Cash Mob in the area of construction every Friday during the month of September — starting today!
A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local business to make purchases. The purpose is to support both the local businesses & the overall community. They are a form of flash mob, & are inspired by them.[1]
Each Friday in September we will raffle off (1) $20 gift card to a lucky supporter of the nearby businesses.
