  issue of The New York Times. Dr. Rankine is the author of “Citizen: A
 n American Lyric” and other collections\, as well as two plays and var
 ious essays. She teaches at Yale University. Her new book\, “Just Us: 
 An American Conversation\,” was published in September 2020. ‘Weathe
 r’ takes a hard look at the climate in America in 2020 taking into con
 sideration systematic racism and the Black Lives Matter movement as well
  as the Coronavirus and climate change.
