History’s most controversial composer—Richard Wagner—was a polemical genius whose legacy now seeks a klatch of like and open minds.

Wagner’s Nightmare is a new musical endeavor with a forthcoming album release by violist Daniel Orsen and pianist Pierre-Nicolas Colombat. Their recording project and live performances will both appreciate and “tease” classical music’s crazy uncle.

“It’s a cultural exploration,” says Colombat, “a Wagnerfahrt, if you will, that aims to roast Wagner while helping a modern audience appreciate his works and staggering legacy.”
