 ign.\n\nPerforming regularly at One Longfellow Square since 2006\, the P
 ortland Jazz Orchestra is Maine’s premier concert jazz ensemble. Under
  the direction of Dr. Chris Oberholtzer\, this 19-piece jazz ensemble pe
 rforms a variety of instrumental and vocal big band literature.\nPJO enj
 oys playing works written by members and area musicians such as Craig Sk
 effington\, Mike Sakash\, Brad Ciechomski\, Jake Sturtevent\, and Terry 
 White. In addition to performing original literature\, PJO often perform
 s music from the libraries of Duke Ellington\, Count Basie\, Stan Kenton
 \, Bill Holman\, Patrick Williams\, Woody Herman and Maria Schneider\, t
 o name a few.&nbsp\;\n\nPJO is made up of professional musicians\, many 
 of whom are both performers and educators in New England. Members of the
  PJO have performed\, recorded and toured with numerous artists includin
 g: Natalie Cole\, Tony Bennett\, Wayne Bergeron\, The New York Voices\, 
 Barry Manilow\, Roberta Flack\, the Temptations\, the Artie Shaw Orchest
 ra\, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Orc
 hestra.\n\nIn keeping with our educational background\, the Portland Jaz
 z Orchestra is available for educational clinics and performances throug
 hout northern New England.\n\nCovid-19 Protocols:\n\nWe are very excited
  to be hosting live music shows again in our listening room. OLS is comm
 itted to providing a safe environment for all who work\, listen\, or per
 form live music in our venue. Because our venue is so small\, we will re
 quire all staff\, volunteers\, performers\, and patrons to show proof of
  full vaccination against COVID-19 when they attend OLS events AND to we
 ar masks indoors unless they are actively drinking\, eating\, or perform
 ing.\n\nProof of vaccine must come directly from the health care provide
 r that performed the vaccination and can be a photo or physical copy of 
 the vaccination card or record with an accompanying photo ID. Full vacci
 nation means that the date of the performance you are attending is:\n\n*
  at least 14 days after your second dose of an FDA or WHO authorized two
  dose COVID-19 vaccine\, or\n\n* at least 14 days after your single dose
  of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose COVID vaccine.\n\nWe hope we ca
 n ease these restrictions once further progress has been made reducing t
 ransmission of the virus. Until then we greatly appreciate your patience
