 gn.\n\nPerforming regularly at One Longfellow Square since 2006\, the Po
 rtland Jazz Orchestra is Maine’s premier concert jazz ensemble. Under 
 the direction of Dr. Chris Oberholtzer\, this 19-piece jazz ensemble per
 forms a variety of instrumental and vocal big band literature.\n\nPJO en
 joys playing works written by members and area musicians such as Craig S
 keffington\, Mike Sakash\, Brad Ciechomski\, Jake Sturtevent\, and Terry
  White. In addition to performing original literature\, PJO often perfor
 ms music from the libraries of Duke Ellington\, Count Basie\, Stan Kento
 n\, Bill Holman\, Patrick Williams\, Woody Herman and Maria Schneider\, 
 to name a few.&nbsp\;\n\nPJO is made up of professional musicians\, many
  of whom are both performers and educators in New England. Members of th
 e PJO have performed\, recorded and toured with numerous artists includi
 ng: Natalie Cole\, Tony Bennett\, Wayne Bergeron\, The New York Voices\,
  Barry Manilow\, Roberta Flack\, the Temptations\, the Artie Shaw Orches
 tra\, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Or
 chestra.\n\nIn keeping with our educational background\, the Portland Ja
 zz Orchestra is available for educational clinics and performances throu
 ghout northern New England.\n\nCovid-19 Protocols:\n\nWe are very excite
 d to be hosting live music shows again in our listening room. OLS is com
 mitted to providing a safe environment for all who work\, listen\, or pe
 rform live music in our venue. Because our venue is so small\, we will r
 equire all staff\, volunteers\, performers\, and patrons to show proof o
 f full vaccination against COVID-19 when they attend OLS events AND to w
 ear masks indoors unless they are actively drinking\, eating\, or perfor
 ming.\n\nProof of vaccine must come directly from the health care provid
 er that performed the vaccination and can be a photo or physical copy of
  the vaccination card or record with an accompanying photo ID. Full vacc
 ination means that the date of the performance you are attending is:\n\n
 * at least 14 days after your second dose of an FDA or WHO authorized tw
 o dose COVID-19 vaccine\, or\n\n* at least 14 days after your single dos
 e of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose COVID vaccine.\n\nWe hope we c
 an ease these restrictions once further progress has been made reducing 
 transmission of the virus. Until then we greatly appreciate your patienc
