 gn.\n\nPerforming regularly at One Longfellow Square since 2006\, the Po
 rtland Jazz Orchestra is Maine’s premier concert jazz ensemble. Under 
 the direction of Dr. Chris Oberholtzer\, this 19-piece jazz ensemble per
 forms a variety of instrumental and vocal big band literature. PJO enjoy
 s playing works written by members and area musicians such as Craig Skef
 fington\, Mike Sakash\, Brad Ciechomski\, Jake Sturtevent\, and Terry Wh
 ite. In addition to performing original literature\, PJO often performs 
 music from the libraries of Duke Ellington\, Count Basie\, Stan Kenton\,
  Bill Holman\, Patrick Williams\, Woody Herman and Maria Schneider\, to 
 name a few.\n\nPJO is made up of professional musicians\, many of whom a
 re both performers and educators in New England. Members of the PJO have
  performed\, recorded and toured with numerous artists including: Natali
 e Cole\, Tony Bennett\, Wayne Bergeron\, The New York Voices\, Barry Man
 ilow\, Roberta Flack\, the Temptations\, the Artie Shaw Orchestra\, the 
 Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.\n
 \nIn keeping with our educational background\, the Portland Jazz Orchest
 ra is available for educational clinics and performances throughout nort
 hern New England.\n\nThis month will feature the Falmouth High School Ja
 zz Ensemble as the PJO's guest band during intermission.\n\nCovid-19 Pro
 tocols:\n\nWe are very excited to be hosting live music shows again in o
 ur listening room. OLS is committed to providing a safe environment for 
 all who work\, listen\, or perform live music in our venue. Because our 
 venue is so small\, we will require all staff\, volunteers\, performers\
 , and patrons to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 when th
 ey attend OLS events AND to wear masks indoors unless they are actively 
 drinking\, eating\, or performing.\n\nProof of vaccine must come directl
 y from the health care provider that performed the vaccination and can b
 e a photo or physical copy of the vaccination card or record with an acc
 ompanying photo ID. Full vaccination means that the date of the performa
 nce you are attending is:\n\n* at least 14 days after your second dose o
 f an FDA or WHO authorized two dose COVID-19 vaccine\, or\n\n* at least 
 14 days after your single dose of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose C
 OVID vaccine.\n\nWe hope we can ease these restrictions once further pro
