DESCRIPTION:In the spirit of April Fool’s Day Greater Portland Landmar
 ks invites you to enjoy Tall Tales From the Tower on Friday\, April 1st.
  This one night only mini- tour of the Observatory is patterned on a pop
 ular segment of the NPR program ‘Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me.’ Tour
 s will be at 5:30pm\; 6:00pm\; 6:30pm\; 7:00pm\; and 7:30pm.\n\nAttendee
 s will listen to three short stories on their way to the top. Two will b
 e made up and one will be true. If the group chooses the correct story\,
  they will proceed to the top. If they do not\, well\, they will just ha
 ve to wait and see what happens. Each tour is approximately 25 minutes a
 nd includes plenty of time at the top to enjoy a view of Portland at nig
 ht. Remember – the Observatory is not heated so please dress warmly. A
 t this time masks are required regardless of vaccination status.\n\nThe 
 cost is $10/person. Each tour limited to 8 people. The guided tours will
  leave every half hour starting at 5:30 pm. Advanced tickets required. O
 nly canceled reservations will be available for walk-ins. Tickets are av
 ailable for purchase at portlandlandmarks.org. All sales benefit Greater
  Portland Landmarks education programs.
