 allery in Southern Maine. Richard is a highly regarded fine artist whose
  medium of choice is watercolor.\n\nHis paintings are created using a dr
 y-brush technique with an absolute minimum of water\, the paint dries qu
 ickly and deeply\, allowing layers of light and hue to emerge through th
 e image. The finely detailed work invested in each painting often consum
 es three to five months. A single leaf might take a week for the precise
  layering of color. Whether celebrating the lush ripeness of summer berr
 ies or conveying a shell scape on the ocean floor\, the work is built on
  a deep and evocative power.\n\nRichard's paintings have been shown in t
 he National Arts Club (NY)\, the American Watercolor Society at the Salm
 agundi Club (NY)\, and National Academy of Design (NY). His paintings ar
 e exhibited throughout the Northeast and held in numerous private and pu
