DESCRIPTION:Join us for Puppeteers' Happy Hour! This recurring informal 
 gathering is for puppet artists and enthusiasts to share their work and 
 ideas\, catch up on the latest puppet dirt\, and hang out.\n\nFor this v
 ery special happy hour\, puppeteer extraordinaire Ian Bannon will lead a
  workshop on Breath\, Focus\, and Movement.\n\nPractice the core princip
 les of working as a team to animate Japanese-style bunraku or "tabletop"
  puppet through direct manipulation. After a brief introductory lesson\,
  we'll work in groups of 2-3 to create short\, non-verbal performances. 
 We'll share performances with each other and refine them through peer cr
 itique. This is recommended for all ability levels\; participants must b
 e 8+ years old.\n\nPuppeteers and puppet fans of all flavors are encoura
 ged to attend. If you've been puppet-curious\, this is a wonderful chanc
 e to dip your toe into the wacky world of puppetry!\n\nThe event is open
  to the public and free to attend. Libations will be available for purch
 ase.
