 unity Block Party! Akwaaba Ensemble last joined us in 2018 and thrilled 
 our audience with their "don't miss" drum and dance performance.\nProspe
 rityME’s Annual Event\, the Community Block Party\, is a much-anticipa
 ted\, unique celebration that highlights and continues our important wor
 k providing financial education\, counseling\, and support to Maine’s 
 immigrant community. During the recent circumstances of the pandemic\, o
 ur mission has taken on an even deeper meaning as we continue our work c
 ommitted to ensuring that immigrant New Mainers have the support they ne
 ed to economically thrive in our communities.\n\nOur 2022 program will i
 nclude:\n• A Celebration of ProsperityME's programs\, including our Fi
 nancial Education Classes\, Scholarship Opportunities\, Women's Economic
  Empowerment\, Small Business and Housing Support programs.\n• A diver
 se community panel composed of former ProsperityME students discussing c
 urrent issues and how ProsperityME helped them on the road to financial 
 success.\n• Awards for partners and community members who have support
 ed our mission through the years.\n• A "Block Party" atmosphere\, comp
 lete with dinner catered by local small-business\, Yardie Ting!
