 mes Welcome!\n\nOpera Maine is thrilled to present an original productio
 n of Gioachino Rossini’s comedic masterpiece\, La Cenerentola (Cindere
 lla). Rossini’s delightful version of the beloved dustbin-to-palace ta
 le of Cinderella is certain to enchant audiences of all ages. A heartles
 s stepfather\, scheming stepsisters\, and a prince in disguise create hi
 larity and confusion\, but goodness and love triumph in the end. Much ma
 gic is in Rossini’s exuberant music\, performed by a talented cast of 
 principals and the Opera Maine Orchestra and Chorus\, all under the bato
 n of Maestro Israel Gursky. Artistic Director Dona D. Vaughn will direct
  this not-to-be-missed production.\n\nOpera in two acts. One intermissio
 n.\n\nThere will be a pre-curtain presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. in
  Merrill on July 27 and 30 with Opera Maine dramaturg\, Calien Lewis. Fr
