DESCRIPTION:Hone your craft while learning about international musical t
 raditions!\n\nJoin the Seyir Duo (Eric Laperna and Nathan Kolosko) for a
  hands-on exploration of Middle Eastern melodies and the rhythms used to
  accompany them at this community workshop.\n\nEric and Nathan will teac
 h participants two melodies– Lamma Bada Yatathanna\, and Şişeler–a
 nd discuss the theoretical background of each piece as it relates to the
  melodic and rhythmic content.\n\nThe detailed scores with standard nota
 tion\, guitar tablature\, and Eb Bb transpositions will be available at 
 the workshop.\n\nThe workshop is open to percussion beginners\, intermed
 iate musicians for the melodic material\, and anyone who wishes to audit
  the class.\n\nAll melodic and percussive instruments are welcome. Drums
  are available upon request.
