SUMMARY:Martin Dockery’s The Panic &amp\; Passion of Right Now
DESCRIPTION:Brooklyn-based Martin Dockery is a theater artist who's perf
ormed in just about every type of venue\, from large theaters to intimat
e trailer homes - and more recently during lockdown\, his front porch.\n
\nBilled as “the best storyteller in the US” (Orlando Sentinel)\, Do
ckery’s comedic\, ridiculous\, and deeply personal storytelling examin
es the mysterious connection between love and death. Dockery is funny\,
 sincere\, heartbreaking...sometimes all at once.\n\nBefore the pandemic
reduced him to a large collection of high definition pixels\, he'd spent
the majority of the year as a three-dimensional\, independent touring a
rtist\, performing his nine one-person shows and five two-person plays (
as Concrete Drops Theater) at festivals and theaters in Canada\, Austral
ia\, the UK\, and the US.\n\nDockery\, a powerhouse on the international
festival circuit\, has won innumerable "Best of Fest" awards\, but is o
f the opinion that anyone managing to do theater these days is deserving
of some kind of award.\n\nSince we were all relegated to our couches du
ring the pandemic\, he decided to broadcast a brand new show every five
or six weeks about the personal effects of social distancing. Entitled R
IGHT NOW\, the show was performed on his Facebook homepage. The entire s
even-part series and culminating movie is now available online.\n\nWith
travel and public performance possible once again\, Dockery is hitting t
he road with this live version of the stories he developed during the pa
 ndemic.\n\n---\n\nFriday\, September 17\, 2021 at 7:00 PM\n\nDoors open
 at 6:30 PM\; 60-minutes with an intermission\n\nTickets available for $1
