DESCRIPTION:Richard Boyd Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening 
 of a solo exhibition of paintings by noted Maine artist Jane Herbert on 
 August 1st at 10:00 a.m. This is Jane’s seventh solo exhibition of pai
 ntings at the gallery. If you love paintings depicting the beauty of Mai
 ne’s landscape and coastal communities don’t miss this exhibit. You 
 won’t be disappointed!\n\nA year round resident of Damariscotta\, her 
 exquisitely detailed traditional style paintings are a visual expression
  of life along the coast and reveal observations of the picturesque land
 scape and seaside charm of Maine’s coastal communities.\n\n“Through 
 the years\, I’ve been inspired by the beauty I find in nature. Recentl
 y I have taken a wider view of the landscape and the strong and reassuri
 ng sense of unity I feel in it. I want to draw people into that kind of 
 healing space.”\n\nJane’s traditional style paintings are widely col
 lected and held in numerous private and public collections. The exhibit 
 is on view free of charge from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from August
