 ome. Masks are optional.\n\nABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS / DJs\n\nAlyssa [they/
 she] stumbled upon fusion twelve years ago when they were living in NYC.
  They got hooked real fast. She’s danced and played music all her life
 \, and you’ll see flavors of the many styles she’s explored in her t
 eaching and DJing\, from Blues and hip hop to Zouk and Westie. Alyssa ra
 n Portland Fusion Dance! from 2019 to 2022\, teaches folk waltz\, and ca
 lls for contra dances. Their teaching is a combination of warmth and gig
 gles combined with specificity and adoration of connection. Shockingly\,
  they have a life outside of dance\, too: farming\, playing banjo\, teac
 hing yoga\, and just generally acting like a Muppet. Can’t wait to dan
 ce with you!\n\nTravis [he/him]has been a professional Argentine Tango I
 nstructor and DJ for 15 years. In addition Tango\, he has danced\, explo
 red and taught dances such as bachata\, swing and kizomba. Travis' appro
 ach to teaching dance starts with connection\, listening\, the music\, b
 ody awareness and creating an environment that feels safe\, fun and open
  to self expression.
