SUMMARY:Electrified: An Evening With Mavy
DESCRIPTION:A fiery set of classical crossover\, rock\, ethnic\, and dan
 ce songs performed on the violin like you've never seen and heard!\n\nMa
 vy Le is an 18-year-old violinist residing in Gorham\, Maine. She picked
  up the violin at the tender age of 6 years old and hasn't been able to 
 go a day without playing it since. At age 10\, she purchased her first e
 lectric violin and started recording at age 15 during the COVID-19 pande
 mic to pass time. During this time\, Mavy also worked on perfecting and 
 polishing her performing skills in order to prepare for gigs after the p
 andemic. Through her hours of practice\, she gained confidence and a new
 found love for the violin. For the past 7 years\, Mavy has performed wit
 h the Portland Youth Ensembles\, as well as taking part in playing in th
 e pit in multiple shows\, including Mozart's "The Magic Flute\," and the
  musical\, "Into The Woods." In February of 2022\, she performed at the 
 Winter Carnaval in Portland\, and has gone on to take part in multiple I
 nternational Open Mic shows\, here at Mayo Street Arts.\n\nIn the coming
  year\, she will be attending Bates College in Lewiston\, majoring in Bi
 ology\, and of course minoring in music performance\, primarily focused 
 on the violin.
