DESCRIPTION:With support from our feature poet\, Sass Linneken (from ROS
 C - Resources for Organizing and Social Change)\, members of the Souther
 n Maine Workers Center will share community testimony of the ease and ha
 rdship\, discomfort and solace\, heartbreak\, and humor we've encountere
 d working to protect ourselves and each other throughout this pandemic. 
 We also invite you to rest\, to listen\, and to connect your own power w
 ith workers dreaming of a story of change we know we can only tell toget
 her. We'll begin by hearing poems by a few members\, holding space in be
 tween poems for small group conversations and connections.\n\n“For as 
 we begin to recognize our deepest feelings\, we begin to give up\, out o
 f necessity\, being satisfied with suffering and self-negation\, and wit
 h the numbness which so often seems like the only alternative in our soc
 iety.” -Audre Lorde\n\nThis event will be outdoors with access to indo
 or\, accessible bathrooms. Masks are mandatory indoors and encouraged ou
 tdoors\, and masks &amp\; hand sanitizer will be provided. SMWC will pro
 vide free rapid antigen tests to anyone wishing to test for Covid-19 bef
 ore or after the event.
