DESCRIPTION:WAR MAKER is based on the true story of Karim Shaheen\, a Pa
 lestinian visual artist from Gaza\, and how his life dreams were affecte
 d by living through three wars in the span of eleven years (1980-1991).\
 n\nShaheen’s story was adapted for Dafa Puppet Theatre by the companyâ
 €™s founder\, Palestinian-Jordanian theatre director and puppeteer\, Hus
 am Abed. Shaheen and Abed shared an apartment in Yarmouk camp\, Syria\, 
 in the year 2000 while Abed was attending Damascus University. It was th
 ere where Shaheen originated the embodiment of their Damascene neighborh
 ood in a realistic 3D stylized miniature form\, inspiring WAR MAKER.\n\n
 WAR MAKER explores Karim’s life lived within an ongoing exile\, the pe
 rformance itself mirrors his broken war memories and the liminality of h
 is existence. Karim’s absurd and brutal reality places him at a crossr
 oads between love\, dreams\, and family connections.\n\nThis performance
  is suitable for ages 13+\; no one under the age of 12 will be admitted.
