SUMMARY:Casco Bay Kayak Traverse
DESCRIPTION:This three-day guided expedition begins in Portland and isla
 nd-hops across the breadth of Casco Bay. Our route will depend on the co
 nditions and the group\, but you can plan on several hours of paddling e
 ach day (with many breaks) as we traverse the bay. Along the way\, you'l
 l camp on the islands of the Maine Island Trail and experience the diver
 se environments found in the bay.\n\nThis trip is great for first-time k
 ayak campers as well as those who have experience with paddling expediti
 ons. Some prior ocean kayaking experience is required\, however. If you 
 are new to sea kayaking\, we suggest taking one of our lessons before si
 gning up for this trip. That said\, your guide will provide basic instru
 ction\, and there will be plenty of opportunities to improve your paddli
 ng skills along the way.\n\nTrip will begin at 8:30 AM on August 28th an
 d return between 3:00 - 4:00 PM on August 30th.
