DESCRIPTION:The nonprofit Maine Technology Users Group (MTUG) invites IT
  professionals\, managers\, and technology enthusiasts from all industri
 es and sectors to the 2023 Information Technology Summit and Tradeshow o
 n Thursday\, May 4th\, 7:30am-4pm\, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay\, 88 S
 pring Street\, Portland\, Maine.\n\nThe MTUG IT Summit and Tradeshow is 
 Maine's largest business technology conference with 15 educational sessi
 ons\, 50 vendor booths\, and ample time to explore a broad range of IT t
 opics\, products\, and services. The event is expected to draw 500 IT pr
 ofessionals and decision-makers representing various tech disciplines fr
 om across New England.\n\nWorkshop tracks will cover cybersecurity\, dat
 a and hardware tools\, enterprise software\, and more. Topics will inclu
 de tech end-of-life management\, artificial intelligence\, Microsoft Pow
 er Platform\, SharePoint\, common Active Directory risks\, Payment Card 
 security standards (PCI SSC 4.0)\, modeling security threats\, cyber sec
 urity compliance models\, sustainable extranets and customer portals\, d
 ata-drive enterprise design\, and more. Many workshops feature IT profes
 sionals from Maine-based organizations including local tech service prov
 iders\, financial services\, manufacturing\, education\, and biotech.\n\
 nKeynote Pips Veazey\, Director\, University of Maine Portland Gateway\,
  will present “Teeming with Teams: Collaborative Work in an age of Com
 plexity” bringing her vast experience enhancing the effectiveness of l
 arge research teams to the question of crafting technological and human 
 systems for the challenges organizations face. After the Keynote\, MTUG 
 and the University of Maine Foundation will recognize the sponsors and t
 he awardees of the MTUG CoSponsored Tech Scholarship Program. Since 2012
 \, the program has raised/donated over $120\,000 in scholarships to UMai
 ne system tech students.\n\nAdmission is $55 "early rate" by 4/26\, $70 
 Advance and $100 on the event day. Special rates available for students
