DESCRIPTION:One of Maine’s longest running and most popular polar bear
  dip events will return in-person this year at a new location\, Southern
  Maine Community College on December 31st. Hundreds are expected to run\
 , walk\, and/or splash in the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean for th
 e 15th annual Polar Bear Dip &amp\; Dash organized by the Natural Resour
 ces Council of Maine (NRCM) to benefit climate action.\nParticipants can
  now register online at: https://nrcm.salsalabs.org/dipdash. Participant
 s have the opportunity to fundraise from friends and family in support o
 f climate action in Maine.\nThe dip will take place from the shores of C
 asco Bay\, and the dash route leads through the SMCC campus to Bug Light
  and back. Although the event is being held in person this year\, a “r
 emote” option is also available for those who want to participate but 
 are unable to make the trek to South Portland or prefer to dip or dash i
 n a place of their choosing.
